"I love going out for the day with my wife and two sons and we also usually have Grandad, aunts, god parents and friends with us; there is no better way of enjoying time together than taking time out to enjoy a day at a great attraction.

We are very lucky as the choice of attractions across the UK and Europe is immense.  Whether it’s a castle, a museum, a theme park or a zoo there is always loads of choice.

Having worked in tourism for some time, the buzz of seeing smiling faces and people enjoying themselves always makes me happy. I got to thinking that you get the same anticipation and excitement when you open a gift at Christmas or on your birthday.  Like most people, we struggle every time it’s someone’s birthday to find the right gift for them.  Combining the excitement of a day out and the excitement of a gift all in one is the thing that got me thinking about a gift card that gives you access to whole range of days out.

My idea was really nagging away at the back of my mind so I went to see my friend Caroline Watson;  Caroline runs a fab call centre and web-design agency near Marlow in Buckinghamshire and we got to talking and realised if we worked together we could create a great offering.   Fortunately we know some great people including our friends Sonya and Alex at Synergy Design who came up with the logo and fantastic look of the cards and Rachelle who works for a card processor called Pre Pay Technologies – they do all the technical stuff – and the Gift Days Out Gift Card selection was born!

Our aim is to work with the best attractions across UK and Europe and to make giving the gift of a great day out really easy and accessible.
